Our maths challenge on Monday was to find ten items that were equal to a 1kg weight. This turned out to be a very tricky task, well done to our successful pair, pictured above! We are working on increasing our knowledge of place value in maths, thinking about how many tens and ones (or hundreds, tens and ones) make up a number. In our writing we have been using adjectives to create effective similes, for example Cristl wrote 'ta my chabbyl cho olk as yn moddey doo'. We will be developing this skill on World Book Day when we describe some famous characters from traditional tales. When the temperatures start to go up instead of down, we are looking forward to getting stuck into gardening this term. Yesterday we had great fun looking at different seeds under a microscope and comparing shape, colour size etc
