We're continuing to work on sentences based around our sight words-see 'S'mie lhiam bee' and 'Feddyn' from the e-books in the reading section of the school website. We have been also been discussing the traditional tale of he elves and the shoemaker. In maths we are continuing to work on our calculation strategies for addition and subtraction sums, particularly looking at the relationship between addition and subtraction and how knowing one number fact can unlock others, as well as counting on and back strategies. Good old fashioned board games are really helpful with this-why not make your own Christmas themed one at home? We have started our electricity work making circuits and learning about safety.
