Last March, Mnr Cain and Bnr Clague visited the Lower Mourne area of Northern Ireland at the invitation of their Irish Language group. The intention was to build a bridge or pathway between the two Gaelic communities. From this visit, a project called 'Cassan' has developed. Knowing that there are other children across the water learning through Gaelic is exciting and motivating. Have a look at the news report Building Bridges to see more about that trip.
The first goal of the project is for children at the local Gaelic immersion schools to create resources for their friends over the water to help teach them a bit of their own language, and to understand the links between the languages. We chose a number of topics to work on and create materials for our companion school over the water. Please choose a topic from the list on the left and complete the challenges!
